MSU Tag News

This page shows mission announcements during the game and announcements about upcoming events by TAG.

Espionage is Finished

After three months and 23 days, espionage has finally concluded.  Skylar Downes was victorious, winning the game and getting the greatest number of tags.  Second place went to Tyler Debonee, and third went to Nick Brailer.  An honorable mention goes to Wyatt Johnson, who got the most kills as a bounty hunter.  A good job to our winners and a congratulations to all of our other players, most of whom had likely forgotten that this game was still going on.

Resupply Confusion

It seems that most Humans forgot to go out and get resupply codes and have starved out because of it. Since we haven't been announcing them very well or put up reminders of where the posters with the codes are, we will be resetting everyone's starve timer soon. If you are a Starved Human, don't worry, we'll have you fed and back in hunting shape shortly. As a reminder, there are resupply posters in the following locations:

  • Wilson Courtyard
  • Cobleigh Courtyard
  • Romney Gym
  • North side of AJM
  • Between Traphagen and Reed
  • Between Howard and Cheever
  • East of Haynes
  • South of Linfield
  • The Bobcat
  • Memorial West of Sherrick

Some of these posters may be hard to find. This is mainly to keep them safe from rain and snow, and also to keep them from being easily visible from a road. Make sure you get to at least one of these sites and copy down the resupply code on the poster at least once every 48 hours. There are multiple codes out there each day, and you get points for each separate code you enter. At the end of the game, there will be a prize going to the person with the most resupply codes collected, as well as for other achievements, so make sure to get out there and grab those resupply codes!

Humans vs. Zombies begins

This semester’s game of Humans vs. Zombies begins tomorrow April 11th, so be sure to register at msutag.com tonight! The game will run for a week, ending on Wednesday the 17th. We've got a handful of new and adjusted rules, so please double-check the Rules Page to make sure you won't be called a cheater. The Original Zombies have been chosen and will be on the hunt tomorrow, so be on the lookout. The OZs will be carrying official OZ badges. If you are tagged by someone claiming to be an OZ, be sure to ask to see their OZ badge before giving out your feed code! If someone claims to be an OZ but doesn’t show you their badge, you don’t have to give out your feed code. A picture of the official OZ badge is below so everyone knows what to look for.

Also, TAG is selling new, exciting merchandise! We’ve got a new design of t-shirts for only $10, even cheaper than last year. If you don’t yet have a bandana, we are selling special, hand-made bandanas for $1. Check our Merchandise Page to see what we have to offer! The shirts and bandanas will be for sale at each mission, so if you want one show up a bit before the mission begins at the Human starting location (usually in front of Montana Hall) and look for the Mod with the large box full of t-shirts!
